I never lose. I either win or learn.
Love’s a fire that needs renewal of fresh beauty for its fuel.
If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. That’s the lesson. That lesson alone, will save you a lot of grief. Even doubt means don’t.
As far back as I can recall, my prayer has been the same: Use me, God. Show me how to take who I am, who I want to be, and what I can do, and use it for a purpose greater than myself.
People will rise to the big and dramatically good – they will yawn at the timid, the unconvincing.
We live only to discover beauty. All else is a form of waiting.
It is also good to love, because love is difficult. For one human being to love another human being, that is perhaps the most difficult task that has been entrusted to us, the ultimate task, the final test and proof, the work for which all other work is merely preparation.
If you are not at least a little bit quirky, then you still haven’t found yourself.
If you don’t cry at least once a month as an adult, then you are missing out. You are not living life to the full – you are not in touch with the beauty, the mystery, the grandeur of human existence.
Don’t back down just to keep the peace. Standing up for your beliefs builds self-confidence and self-esteem.
